Professional basketball player Julius Randle plays for the New York Knicks, having also represented the Los Angeles Lakers and the New Orleans Pelicans.
After being ranked as a five star recruit thanks to his strong performances throughout his high school career, Randle went on to be selected to play for the University of Kentucky. In 2014, he declared for the NBA Draft, despite being eligible for three more years of collegiate basketball. He was immediately snapped up by the Los Angeles Lakers and played for the team for four years. During this time he earned a reputation for being a strong player, and despite injury setbacks put in a series of great performances in his first few years as a professional. In 2018 he signed a two year contract with the New Orleans Pelicans, recording wins over the Houston Rockets, San Antonio Spurs and the Dallas Mavericks during his time with the team. He became a free agent in 2019 and signed with the New York Knicks, and Randle has since been selected as a reserve for the 2021 NBA All Star Game. He was named NBA Most Improved Player too, and is now a firm favourite among fans and fellow players.
Randle is one to watch in the coming years, as he continues to rise to the top of his game. At just 26 years old he already has nearly 8 years of NBA experience and looks set for a hugely successful career.
