Alayah Benavidez

Alayah Benavidez was born on August 7, 1995, in San Antonio, Texas. Her career in pageantry began at the age of 17, competing in events such as the Miss Helotes Pageant. She pursued higher education at the University of Texas at San Antonio (UTSA), where she majored in English. During her time at UTSA, Benavidez continued to compete in pageants, balancing her academic pursuits with her pageant aspirations. Her focus throughout her pageant career has included addressing illiteracy rates in the country, leveraging her platform to raise awareness and support educational initiatives.

Alayah Benavidez achieved notable success in the pageant circuit, being crowned Miss United States in 2016.
