About

Tyrone Hardiman, known by the stage name Kahanna Montrese, was born on March 25, 1993, in Denver, Colorado, and raised in Panama City, Florida. She performed in drag for the first time on her 18th birthday, March 25, 2011. Her drag career has been characterized by a fusion of street influences with high fashion couture, earning her the description “Las Vegas’s hip-hop showgirl.” Montrese is the drag daughter of Coco Montrese, a notable contestant from Season 5 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.”

Montrese gained wider recognition through her participation in reality television competitions. In 2019, she competed on Season 11 of “RuPaul’s Drag Race.” Following her appearance, she released her debut single and music video, “Scores,” which featured fellow drag artists Manila Luzon, Peppermint, and Trinity the Tuck. Her continued presence in the drag community led to her competing on “RuPaul’s Drag Race All Stars” Season 8 in 2023, where she achieved a 6th place finish.

Her career has involved appearances at prominent events and on television. Montrese and other cast members of “RuPaul’s Drag Race Live!” participated in the Season 14 finale of “RuPaul’s Drag Race” in 2022. The same year, she also attended the 64th Annual Grammy Awards. Montrese maintains a residence in Las Vegas, Nevada.
