Viewers knew they were going to be in for a good show when Las Vegas’s “hip-hop showgirl” Kahanna Montrese sashayed into Series 11 of RuPaul’s Drag Race. Living up to the name of her legendary drag mother Coco Montrese, the glamorous diva showed what she could do when she battled it out against Soju in the first episode, lighting up the Miley Cyrus/Hanna Montana pop anthem Best of Both Worlds with her impressive kicks, flips and splits. After her elimination from the show she dropped her electrifying dance-rap debut track Scores, and the accompanying video featured appearances from iconic queens including Peppermint, Bob the Drag Queen and Trinity The Tuck.
Kahann Montrese is the stage name of drag queen and performer Tyrone Hardiman. Merging upscale high fashion couture with edgy street influences, Montrese serves impeccable showgirl vibes with a body to-die-for, sparkling eleganza and an impressive ability to backflip wearing the highest of heels.
Since appearing on Drag Race Montrese’s popularity has continued to soar, and her music video for 2019 banger ‘Scores’ racked up more than 100,000 views on YouTube in just a couple of days. The stunning queen performs regularly in Las Vegas with other Drag Race alumni including India Ferrah, Yara Sofia, Derrick Barry and Shannel, and she was a contest on RuPaul’s Drag Race: Live in Las Vegas alongside her drag mother Coco Montrese and Aquaria, Yvie Oddly and Kameron Michaels.
