The fantastic sportsman Filippo Ganna is a professional track and road cyclist, who currently rides for UCI WorldTeam Ineos Granadiers. He is an Olympic Champion, setting a new world record in Team pursuit, and an 8x World Champion.
Born and raised in Italy, Ganna started cycling at a young age and began competing at an amateur level in 2012 at the National Cadet Championships. He was a member of a number of amateur teams, and turned professional in 2017 when he joined UAE Abu Dhabi after impressing at the 2016 World Indoor Championships. He joined Team Sky in 2019 (which later became Ineos Granadiers in 2020).
Ganna has had an incredible career on the international stage representing his native Italy. In road racing he is a European Champion, and a 2x World Champion, while in track racing he is a 2x European Champion, a 6x World champion, and an Olympic Champion, having won Gold at the delayed 2020 Tokyo Olympics in team pursuit.
