Gun rights activist, conservative commentator and conspiracy theorist Kaitlin Bennett is well known on social media as the ‘Gun Girl’.
Bennett first rose to fame during her time at Kent State University, where she became well known for her vocal advocacy of gun rights and right wing principles on campus. She was the president of the Kent State branch of Turning Point USA, and in 2018 garnered media and online attention for posing with a AR-10 rifle in her graduation photo. The stunt sparked great debate both on campus and beyond, with conservative campaigners praising Bennett’s bravery and outspoken stance, while other commentators concluded it was dangerous and inflammatory. She has gone on to host discussions on gun rights and has also worked as a correspondent for InfoWars, a popular conspiracy website. In 2019 she became engaged to Justin Moldow, and the couple married in 2020. They run right wing media site Liberty Hangout, which has achieved viral fame for its now infamous clips of Bennett interviewing University of Kentucky students on campus.
Well known for her controversial opinions and outspoken nature, Bennett is no stranger to opposition and has had protesters attend events in the past to counter her statements. She continues to be a proud advocate of gun rights, and is widely regarded as a key figure in the conservative community as she travels to speak at universities and encourages engagement with right wing issues.
