Rashid’s multicultural upbringing in Egypt and Canada profoundly influenced his creative perspective, leading him to earn a Bachelor of Industrial Design from Carleton University in 1982 and further hone his skills in Naples, Italy, under the mentorship of Ettore Sottsass.
