About

Kimberly Nicole Klacik, born January 19, 1982, in Accokeek, Maryland, is an American political commentator and former Republican congressional candidate. She pursued business studies at Bowie State University from 2000 to 2002 before transferring to the College of Southern Maryland, where she focused on hospitality administration and management. In 2013, Klacik established Potential Me, a non-profit organization dedicated to fostering workforce development for underserved women. Her early professional efforts centered on community engagement and support for women entering the workforce in the Baltimore area, where she relocated in 2010. Klacik’s involvement in politics began with her election to the Baltimore County Republican Central Committee in 2018.

Klacik gained national attention for her candid critiques of local governance. In July 2019, during an interview on Fox & Friends, she publicly discussed the conditions in Baltimore’s 7th Congressional District, drawing significant media coverage and attracting the attention of then-President Donald Trump. This elevated her profile, leading to her candidacy for the U.S. House of Representatives. She first ran in the special election for Maryland’s 7th Congressional District in April 2020, and again in the subsequent November 2020 general election, both times as the Republican nominee against Kweisi Mfume. In 2024, she ran for Maryland’s 2nd Congressional District, focusing her campaign on border security, business regulation, and parental rights in education.
