Karyn Khoury

Karyn Khoury is a distinguished American perfumer and the Senior Vice President of Fragrance Development Worldwide for The Estée Lauder Companies. With a career spanning several decades, Karyn has made a significant impact in the fragrance industry, recognized as one of the most influential fragrance developers of her time. In 2012, she was honored at the Visionaries Gala and Awards Ceremony by the Museum of Arts and Design in New York, alongside fellow perfumer Sophia Grosjman.

As a second-generation American of Syrian and Italian descent, Karyn brings a rich cultural background to her work. She began her fragrance career at Norda (now part of Givaudan), where she honed her skills and developed her passion for scent creation. After five years, she joined The Estée Lauder Companies, where she initially managed the Aramis men’s brands. Her talent and vision led to her appointment as Senior Vice President of Corporate Fragrance Development Worldwide in 1998, a position she has excelled in ever since.

At The Estée Lauder, Karyn had the unique opportunity to collaborate closely with beauty industry icons such as Mrs. Estée Lauder, Evelyn Lauder, and Leonard Lauder on innovative fragrance creations.
