Katharina Schmid, born Katharina Althaus on May 23, 1996, in Oberstdorf, Germany, is a highly successful ski jumper. She began her World Cup career during the 2011/12 season and has consistently performed at an elite level. Schmid has participated in three Olympic Games, earning two silver medals. Her career is marked by multiple World Championship titles and numerous World Cup wins, establishing her as a prominent figure in the sport of ski jumping.
