Kathleen Kinmont Smith was born in Los Angeles, California, on February 3, 1965, to actress Abby Dalton and businessman Jack Smith. With Swedish, Irish, and Welsh heritage, Kinmont began her career at a young age, appearing in commercials before transitioning into modeling. Her focus soon shifted to acting, leading to significant roles in both film and television. Her early career saw her establish a strong presence, particularly within the horror genre, with notable performances that gained her recognition in the industry.

Kinmont’s acting credits include prominent roles in the horror films “Halloween 4: The Return of Michael Myers” (1988), where she played Kelly Meeker, and “Bride of Re-Animator” (1989), where she took on the title role of Gloria. She further broadened her acting portfolio with performances in various feature films, working with notable figures such as writer/director Nick Vallelonga in “The Corporate Ladder” (1997) and contributing to Tom Hanks’ directorial debut, “That Thing You Do!” (1996).
