Keira Walsh

Recognized as the Greater Manchester Young Sports Person of the Year in 2008, Keira Walsh went on to make her debut for Manchester City in 2014, swiftly establishing herself as a pivotal midfielder. She played a key role in the team’s first major honor, the League Cup, in her inaugural year. Her eight successful seasons with Manchester City saw her secure numerous titles, including the Women’s Super League title and a domestic double in 2016, the same year she scored her first goal for the club. Walsh reached 100 appearances for Manchester City in 2018 and made her senior England debut in 2017.

She secured her second consecutive UEFA Women’s Euro title with England in 2025, scoring in the opening group stage and earning Player of the Match against Wales, marking her first international goal for her country. In January 2025, Walsh returned to the Women’s Super League, signing with Chelsea, where she immediately contributed to a domestic treble—comprising the WSL, Women’s FA Cup, and Women’s League Cup—in her inaugural season, also scoring her first goal for the club. Her consistent world-class performances have led to multiple inclusions in the FIFA FIFPRO Women’s World 11, and she was honored with the Inspirational Role Model award at the Women’s Football Awards in 2025.
