Kevin Butler

Kevin Butler is best known as a Super Bowl champion placekicker, a College Football Hall of Fame inductee, and a business consultant. After an exemplary collegiate career at the University of Georgia from 1981 to 1984, Kevin Butler established himself as one of college football’s most prolific kickers. During his tenure, he was a two-time All-American and a four-time All-Southeastern Conference player. Butler set the Bulldogs’ scoring record with 353 points, comprising 122 PAT’s and 77 field goals.

Butler transitioned his success to the professional ranks, embarking on a distinguished 13-season National Football League (NFL) career. Drafted by the Chicago Bears in 1985, he immediately made an impact, setting a rookie scoring record with 144 points in his inaugural season. That same year, Butler was a key member of the Chicago Bears team that won Super Bowl XX. His stellar performance in 1985 also earned him All-Pro Second Team honors and the title of NFL Scoring Leader.

Recognized for his foundational impact on the sport, Butler was honored as the first kicker ever inducted into the College Football Hall of Fame in 2001. Beyond his athletic achievements, he has forged a successful business career as a consultant. Demonstrating his commitment to continued growth, Butler returned to the University of Georgia to complete his undergraduate degree in 2018. He remains a highly sought-after expert in both sports and business.
