Kevin Glen Weisman was born on December 29, 1970, in Los Angeles, California. He began acting at a young age, participating in local drama festivals during his time at Taft High School in Woodland Hills. His academic pursuits led him to earn a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of California, Los Angeles School of Theater, Film and Television, followed by further training at New York’s prestigious Circle in the Square Theatre. Weisman’s early career included roles in independent films like “Ollywoo” and appearances on television shows such as “Pauly.”
Weisman gained international recognition for his role as Marshall Flinkman in the J.J. Abrams and Jennifer Garner series ‘Alias,’ which ran for five seasons on ABC from 2001 to 2006. This role led to him being named one of television’s ‘Top Ten Scene Stealers’ by TV Guide and an appearance on Entertainment Weekly’s ‘Must List.’ Following ‘Alias,’ he continued to take on significant television roles, including Dale Yorkes in ‘Marvel’s Runaways’ (2017-2019) for Hulu, Ned Berring in the Amazon drama ‘Goliath’ (2016) alongside Billy Bob Thornton and William Hurt, and Kives in Stephen Merchant’s HBO comedy ‘Hello Ladies’ (2013-2014).
His filmography includes appearances in over 80 projects, such as Michael Bay’s ‘Gone in Sixty Seconds’ (2000), Kevin Smith’s ‘Clerks II’ (2006), and Rob Reiner’s ‘Flipped’ (2010), where he portrayed Daniel Baker, a mentally-challenged uncle. In theater, Weisman is a founding member of the award-winning Buffalo Nights Theatre Company in Los Angeles, where he has acted in and produced numerous productions. His performance as Francios Villon in Murray Mednick’s ‘Villon’ earned him a Lead Actor Award (Stage Raw) in 2015. Additionally, he has lent his voice to campaigns for brands like Apple, Nike, Coke, AT&T, and Honda, and is an accomplished drummer, having been an original member of the band Trainwreck with Kyle Gass of Tenacious D.
