Khaled Al-Mudhaf secured a gold medal at the 2002 ISSF World Championships in Lahti, Finland, in the men’s trap event, a victory that established him as a world champion and earned Kuwait an Olympic quota spot for the upcoming Games. After beginning his competitive shooting career in 1994, Al-Mudhaf quickly rose through the ranks, setting a qualification world junior record in Trap Men Junior with 124 points in 1998. His impressive early career culminated in his Olympic debut at the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics, where he achieved a notable fourth-place finish in the men’s trap event, narrowly missing a bronze medal by just one point. Following his World Championship triumph, Al-Mudhaf continued to compete at the highest international level, participating in the 2004 Athens Summer Olympics, where he finished sixth.
He is a key member of the Kuwait Shooting Club, where he trains under the guidance of coach Rostame Yamblatove, maintaining a rigorous regimen essential for elite performance.
