Marcus Mitchell

Marcus Emanuel Mitchell was born on December 27 in Houston, Texas, to Mark and Yvonne Mitchell. He began his professional acting career with his screen debut in the 2010 film “Stomp The Yard 2: Homecoming.” This early role marked the beginning of his involvement in dance-centric and dramatic productions, establishing his presence in the entertainment industry.

Following his debut, Mitchell continued to build his filmography with roles in various motion pictures. He appeared in “Breaking Through” in 2015, followed by “High Strung” and “Making Moves,” both released in 2016. These projects allowed him to showcase his acting abilities across different narratives. His career further progressed with significant television roles, including playing Dondre Hall in “Step Up: High Water” from 2018 to 2019 across 20 episodes. He also portrayed Dyonte in “Good Trouble” for 16 episodes between 2021 and 2022. Marcus Mitchell has further extended his career to include theater, with roles in productions such as “Invisible Life” at the Apollo Theatre in New York and the national tour of “RENT,” where he performed as Benny/Collins (Swing).
