Kid Galahad

Kid Galahad, born Abdul-Bari Awad, is a British professional boxer and former IBF featherweight title holder known for his strategic fighting style and resilience in the ring. After claiming his first major title, the WBC International super-bantamweight championship, on February 18, 2012, Kid Galahad went on to establish himself as a formidable presence in professional boxing. His career commenced on September 5, 2009, with a decisive points victory over Delroy Spencer at the Colosseum in Watford, England. Demonstrating his power early, he secured his first stoppage victory on May 21, 2010, defeating Dougie Curran by TKO in the second round.

After accumulating an impressive undefeated record, Galahad defeated Jason Booth via unanimous decision in Rotherham to clinch the WBC International super-bantamweight championship. He successfully defended this title against Josh Wale before vacating it to pursue further opportunities. Galahad continued his ascent through the ranks, securing multiple prestigious titles. In September 2013, he won the BBBofC British super-bantamweight title against James Dickens.

Demonstrating his persistent drive for championship contention, Galahad subsequently challenged for the IBO lightweight title against Maxi Hughes in September 2022, continuing to compete at the elite level of professional boxing.
