Kieran Trippier began his professional football career signing his first contract in 2007, quickly establishing himself as a formidable defender. He played a key role in winning the FA Youth Cup in 2008. During a loan spell at Barnsley in the Championship, he earned the Young Player of the Year award in 201011 and scored his first senior goals. His consistent performances led to a permanent move to Burnley in 2011, where he was named Burnley Player of the Year for the 201112 season and earned his first selection to the Championship PFA Team of the Year in 201213.
In 2019, Trippier made a significant move to Atlético Madrid in La Liga, marking a historic moment as their first English player in 95 years. He seamlessly integrated into the squad, contributing to the team’s triumph in securing the 202021 La Liga title, his first major club trophy. He returned to the Premier League in January 2022, joining Newcastle United, where he swiftly became a pivotal leader. His impact was recognized with the Newcastle United Player of the Year award for the 202223 season, and a place in the PFA Team of the Year for the 202223 Premier League.
He also featured in UEFA Euro 2020, assisting in the final where England finished as runner-up, the 2022 FIFA World Cup, and UEFA Euro 2024, again reaching the final as runner-up.
