Kim So-hui is an Olympic gold medalist in Taekwondo, representing the Republic of Korea. Her career highlights include multiple World Championship titles and Grand Prix victories. After securing an Olympic Games qualification gold medal in Tijuana in 2010, Kim So-hui established herself as a dominant force in international Taekwondo. Representing the Republic of Korea, she achieved her first World Championship gold medal in 2011 in Gyeongju in the -46 kg senior category.
The year concluded with a Grand Prix silver medal at the Abidjan Final and a significant Grand Slam gold medal in Wuxi. In 2018, Kim So-hui continued her winning streak, securing Grand Prix gold medals in Rome and Moscow, a silver medal in Taoyuan, and a Grand Prix gold medal at the Fujairah Final, demonstrating elite skill. Kim So-hui’s enduring presence at the highest level of Taekwondo extended into 2019, where she secured a WT Presidents Cup – Oceania silver medal in Carrara, Queensland, and a bronze medal at the Korea Open in Chuncheon, followed by a Grand Prix silver medal in Sofia. Throughout her illustrious career, So-hui has amassed five Grand Prix gold medals, six silver medals, and one bronze medal across numerous international events, underscoring her sustained excellence and competitive drive as an Olympic champion.
