Kylie Rei Dickson’s story begins on the padded floors and practice mats of California, where a determined youngster learned that rhythm can carry you farther than raw speed alone. Born February 12, 1999, she would grow into a 5 ft 6 in gymnast who trained at All Olympia Gymnastics Center under the guiding hands of Artur Akopyan and Galina Marinova, with earlier influence from Vladimir Novikov, Joanne Novikov, and Vladimir Ufimstev. Her rise through Level 10 blended exacting technique with a fearless curiosity about what her body could do.
Her Level 10 career started in 2013, when she qualified for Junior Olympic Nationals and finished 8th on vault. The next year brought more triumphs: vault and bars championship titles at Level 10 Region 8, followed by a 14th-place all-around showing and a silver on vault at JO Nationals. In 2015 she again swept vault and bars titles at Level 10 Region 1 and ascended to Senior International Elite, signaling a broader horizon beyond the junior ranks.
Elite competition soon followed. At the 2015 U.S. Classic she placed 11th in the all-around and 8th on floor. That same year she teamed with Alaina Kwan to represent Belarus at the World Artistic Gymnastics Championships. The two gymnasts were granted Belarusian citizenship, a decision that opened doors to Olympic contention and helped Belarus earn a slot at the 2016 Olympic Test Event in Rio.
In 2016 she competed for Belarus at the European Championships in Bern, finishing 22nd all-around as part of a 17th?place team alongside Sviatlana Lifenka, Dziyana Hramko, and Nastassia Baranava. She then appeared at the Rio de Janeiro Games, qualifying 58th with a total score of 47.798. Throughout, her journeybridging American training with international competitionspeaks to resilience, adaptability, and a persistent belief that hard work can redraw the map of opportunity.
