Kyra Santoro was born on March 22, 1993, in Los Angeles, California. She began her career at a young age, engaging in commercial work as a child and participating in competitive dance. At the age of 18, she transitioned into professional modeling. In 2012, Santoro was named Miss Transworld Surf. Her modeling career includes work for prominent publications such as Sports Illustrated in 2016, Maxim (US and Mexico editions), Bella Mag, Men’s Health, and GQ. Santoro is of Puerto Rican and Italian descent.
Her acting career began with her role as Jenny Turco on Fox’s The Orville, where she appeared in seasons 1-3 from 2017 to 2022. She also played Kate Lipinski in an episode of The Real Bros of Simi Valley in 2020. In 2023, Santoro published a poetry book titled “Be gentle my heart is in here.” The following year, 2024, saw her in the film Model House, portraying the character Nadia, and also in an episode of the Ryan Murphy production 9-1-1 as Carrie. Santoro expanded her artistic endeavors by releasing her debut EP, “3:23,” in early 2019, marking her entry into the music industry.
