Rapper Kailus James, better known by his stage name Kyyngg, is from New Orleans, Louisiana. Kyyngg began working professionally in 2016 and has since released numerous mixtapes, albums, and singles, working with record labels including Spinnup and Raw Entertainment. The rapper has gained widespread popularity on social media sites like Instagram, where he has over 230,000 followers, and YouTube, where he has over 35,000 subscribers. His songs are available on SoundCloud and Spotify, among other platforms.
When Kyyngg was in elementary school, he first started rapping, and when he was in his mid teens, he moved to Atlanta, the hip-hop epicentre. Kyyngg’s career really took off there, with local musicians like Soulja Slim and the hip-hop group Hot Boys having a big influence on him. His mixtapes are well-known in the southern rap community, and his songs “Bloodaz” and “Rich Wild” are the most well-known. He has collaborated with fellow stars Big K.R.I.T. and Prynce Montana.
Kyyngg has tattoos all over his body, including on his wrists, shoulders, neck, and face. He also wears a pendant in the form of a crown. He styles his hair in dreadlocks and dyes it red. He also enjoys riding a skateboard. In 2018, Kyyngg performed at Drip Fest, a hip hop and EDM festival. In 2021, he released the official video for his track “Slime Talk [ Intro ]”, which has garnered more than 110,000 views on YouTube.
