Lakeith Stanfield

Following his Independent Spirit Award-nominated performance in the feature-length adaptation of ‘Short Term 12’ (2013), Lakeith Stanfield has established himself as an Academy Award-nominated actor and musician with a versatile and impactful body of work. Stanfield first appeared in Destin Cretton’s college thesis film, also titled ‘Short Term 12’ (2008), before reprising his role in the acclaimed 2013 feature, which earned him a nomination for Best Supporting Male from the Independent Spirit Awards. His early career further solidified with a significant role in the Martin Luther King biopic, ‘Selma’ (2014), where he portrayed civil rights activist Jimmie Lee Jackson.
