Lindsay Gottlieb has transitioned from collegiate head coach to NBA assistant and back, now leading the USC Women’s Basketball program to national prominence. After earning a Master’s degree in philosophy of education from Syracuse University while serving as an assistant coach from 1999 to 2001, Lindsay Gottlieb went on to build a distinguished collegiate coaching career. She served as an assistant coach at New Hampshire from 2001 to 2002 and then at Richmond from 2002 to 2005, where her teams consistently achieved 20-win seasons and secured postseason appearances. In 2011, Gottlieb returned to the University of California, Berkeley as head coach, marking a period of unprecedented success for the program.
Her impactful career was further honored with her induction into the Jewish Sports Hall of Fame Northern California in 2016. She returned to collegiate coaching in 2021 as the head coach of the USC Trojans, where she has swiftly revitalized the program. Her tenure at USC has been marked by significant accolades, including leading the program to its first Big Ten regular-season title in 2025 and securing the Pac-12 Tournament championship in 2024. Gottlieb was recognized as a Werner Ladder National Coach of the Year award finalist in both 2024 and 2025, and named Big Ten Coach of the Year in 2025.
