Lindsey Shaw was born on May 10, 1989, in Lincoln, Nebraska. Before pursuing a full-time acting career in Los Angeles, Lindsey and her mother regularly traveled from Lincoln to Kansas City for local print ads and commercials. In 2002, Lindsey and her mother relocated to Los Angeles, where she was introduced to acting teacher Jeremiah Comey, who became her mentor. Comey then referred Shaw to her long-time manager, Pat Cutler, of Cutler Management. Through this guidance, Shaw secured her first significant role as Jennifer “Moze” Mosely in the Nickelodeon series “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” which aired from 2004 to 2007. This role established her in the entertainment industry.
Following “Ned’s Declassified School Survival Guide,” Shaw continued her career with diverse roles across television and film. She appeared as Claire in The CW’s sitcom “Aliens in America” (2007-2008). In 2009, she took on the lead role of Kat Stratford in ABC Family’s “10 Things I Hate About You,” a television adaptation of the popular 1999 romantic comedy. From 2011 to 2017, Shaw gained further recognition for her recurring role as Paige McCullers in the ABC Family teen drama “Pretty Little Liars.” Her film credits include “16-Love” (2012), “No One Lives” (2012), and “Temps” (2016), in which she also served as a co-producer.
Beyond her acting roles, Shaw has also ventured into production, notably as an executive producer for “16-Love” (2012) and a co-producer for “Temps” (2016). In 2010, she performed motion capture for the character Trip in the video game “Enslaved: Odyssey to the West.” More recently, in February 2023, Shaw co-launched the “Ned’s Declassified Podcast Survival Guide” with former co-stars Devon Werkheiser and Daniel Curtis Lee, under the PodCo network, where they rewatch and discuss the series. Her career demonstrates a consistent presence in media, encompassing acting, voice work, and production.
