Miltiadis Tentoglou

Miltiadis Tentoglou is a highly decorated Greek long jumper, boasting multiple Olympic, World, and European titles. After gaining international recognition with a 5th place finish at the 2015 World Under-18 Championships in Cali, Colombia, Miltiadis Tentoglou went on to establish himself as a dominant force in long jump. In May 2016, he set a Greek national U20 record with an 8.19-meter jump in Kalamata, followed by earning a silver medal at the World U20 Championships in Bydgoszcz later that year. Tentoglou made his Olympic debut at the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Summer Olympics.

This period also saw him win gold at the 2021 European Athletics Indoor Championships in Toru?, and in 2022, he achieved gold at the World Athletics Indoor Championships in Belgrade, setting the Greek indoor record of 8.55 meters. That same year, he earned a silver medal at the World Athletics Championships in Eugene, followed by a gold at the European Athletics Championships in Munich and the prestigious Diamond League Long Jump Champion title. His consistent excellence was recognized with the Greek Male Athlete of the Year award in 2022. In 2023, Tentoglou continued his impressive run, earning gold medals at the European Athletics Indoor Championships in Istanbul, the World Athletics Championships in Budapest, and the European Games in Kraków-Ma?opolska.

Looking ahead, Tentoglou is set to compete at the 77th Balkan Athletics Championships in Volos and the 2025 European Team Championships in Madrid, where he is a strong contender for gold.
