A significant turning point in her career occurred in 1992 when she secured the role of Billie Reed on the NBC daytime soap opera, “Days of Our Lives.” This role garnered her two consecutive Soap Opera Digest Awards and established her in the soap opera genre. She portrayed the character until 1995, later reprising it in 2002, 2012, and 2018.
Her career progressed to primetime television, where she played Taylor McBride on Aaron Spelling’s “Melrose Place” from 1996 to 1998, appearing in 66 episodes. Following this, Rinna expanded into hosting, notably on Soapnet’s talk show “SoapTalk” from 2002 to 2006, for which she received four Emmy nominations for Outstanding Talk Show Host. She also hosted Lifetime’s home makeover program “Merge” for three seasons. In 2007, she made her Broadway debut as Roxie Hart in “Chicago,” performing alongside her husband, Harry Hamlin.
