Logan Mankins

Logan Mankins transitioned from a highly acclaimed NFL offensive lineman to a dedicated professional, known for his toughness and consistent performance. After being drafted 32nd overall by the New England Patriots in the first round of the 2005 NFL Draft, Logan Mankins immediately established himself as a dominant force on the offensive line. Prior to his professional career, Mankins was a highly decorated collegiate athlete for the Fresno State Bulldogs at California State University, Fresno. As a freshman in 2001, he started all 14 games at left tackle, blocking for quarterback David Carr and allowing only two sacks, earning him first-team Freshman All-American honors by Sporting News.

He continued his strong performance in 2002, starting all 14 games and being named to the Outland Trophy watch list. Following a missed season in 2003 due to an ACL injury, Mankins returned in 2004, starting every game at left tackle, allowing no sacks or pressures, and receiving first-team All-Western Athletic Conference selection, the team’s MVP award, and Second-team All-American honors. Upon joining the Patriots, Mankins transitioned from tackle to left guard, securing a starting position in his rookie season (2005) and playing all 16 games. His immediate impact was recognized with a selection to Pro Football Weekly’s 2005 All-Rookie team.

Mankins announced his retirement on March 7, 2016, concluding an 11-season NFL career where he was widely regarded as a premier guard. Post-retirement, he manages Draper Farms, a professional enterprise focused on raising beef cattle.
