Lola Flanery was born in Los Angeles, California, on May 26, 2005. At the age of three, she moved to Toronto, Canada. Her early career began in modeling, where she participated in campaigns for brands including Gap, Roots, and Target. At the age of ten, Flanery decided to pursue acting. Her first audition resulted in a leading role in the 2016 thriller “Lavender,” where she starred alongside Dermot Mulroney and Justin Long. This film premiered at the Tribeca Film Festival. Following this, she appeared in “Last Chance For Christmas” with Hilarie Burton and Tim Matheson.

Flanery continued to build her filmography with roles in “Sadie’s Last Days on Earth,” the independent film “Touched,” and Open Road’s “Home Again” (2017), where she played Reese Witherspoon’s oldest daughter. Her television career saw her gain audience recognition through recurring roles. She was cast in Lifetime’s “Mary Kills People” and Paramount Television’s “The Mist.” She also took on the role of the ageless Seelie Queen in Freeform’s “Shadowhunters” (2017–2019) and Madi Griffin, the young orphan who becomes commander, in The CW’s “The 100” (2018–2020). Her work in “The 100” led to an E! News nomination as one of their Favorite Female Breakout Stars in 2018.

Her more recent work includes the film “Everything to Me” (2024), where she played Teen Lucy, and “Deadly Invitations” (2024), in which she portrayed Nicole. Flanery is also set to appear in “A Natural Selection” as Gwen Pierce, which is currently in pre-production. Beyond her acting, Lola Flanery is multilingual, speaking English, French, and Mandarin. She also engages with her audience through social media and participated as a panelist on “World’s Funniest Animals” (2020-) on The CW.
