Luandre Pretorius

Lhuan-dre Gilbert Pretorius was born on March 27, 2006, in Potchefstroom, North West, South Africa. He attended St Stithians College before transferring to Cornwall Hill College for his final year. His early career saw him establish himself as a left-handed batsman and wicket-keeper, demonstrating a fearless approach to batting and clean ball-striking. These formative years laid the groundwork for his rapid ascent in competitive cricket, where he quickly became recognized for his potential and aggressive play style.

Pretorius’s career progression has been marked by significant milestones at both domestic and international levels. He made a notable impact in youth cricket, leading South Africa U19 in scoring during the 2024 Under-19 Cricket World Cup. He then transitioned into domestic and franchise cricket, making his debut in the CSA T20 Challenge at 17 and later excelling in first-class cricket with a century on debut for the Titans. His performances in the SA20 league, particularly for the Paarl Royals, further solidified his reputation as a formidable short-format player.
