Lucie Pohl is a stand-up comedian and actress from Germany. Pohl is the daughter of Sanda Weigl, a theater director and musician, and Klaus Pohl, an actor, and dramatist. She is the sister of the writer Marie Pohl and cousin of actress Anna Thalbach, so you could truly say showbiz is in her blood.
On television, Pohl has appeared on many German shows including, “Freunde für immer – Das Leben ist rund,” “Pastewka,” and “Der Kriminalist.” Her talents are not confied to Germany, she appeared in the American espionage drama, “Homeland” in the episode “Separation Anxiety.” Again in 2016, she was featured in the British science-fiction cult series Red Dwarf, on the episode “Twentica” as Harmony de Gauthier.
Pohl has also appeared in movies, short films, and made for TV movies. Her debut was “Allerd Fishbein’s in Love”, in 2000. She also appeared in the films “Die Weisheit der Wolken,” “Must Love Death,” “Not Fade Away,” “Forget About Nick,” and “Fantastic Beasts and Where to Find Them.”
Pohl is the voice actress for video games. She plays Mercy, the main character in the hugely successful video game “Overwatch” in 2016. She also voiced the characters Rixxa Fluxflame in “World of Warcraft: Battle for Azeroth,” and worked on “Red Dead Redemption 2” in 2018. She also had two stand-up specials, “Hi Hitler” in (2014) and “Cry Me a Liver” (2015).
