Luigi Lodde

Luigi Lodde, born on April 19, 1980, in Sassari, Italy, began his competitive shooting career in 1996. He quickly established himself in the sport, specializing in Skeet shooting. His early career saw him competing in junior championships, securing a bronze medal at the European Championships in Poussan in 1999 and another bronze in Montecatini in 2000, both in Skeet Men Junior. These foundational years set the stage for his progression into senior international competitions.

Throughout his career, Lodde has accumulated a significant number of medals, including multiple gold, silver, and bronze finishes across World Cups, European Championships, and other prestigious events. A notable achievement includes his 5th place finish at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London for Skeet Men, demonstrating his presence on the global stage. He continued to compete at the highest level, including the 2016 Rio de Janeiro Olympics. Lodde has consistently performed well, earning World Cup victories in Lonato (2022 and 2021 for Team), Lahti (2019), and Tucson (2014).

Lodde’s career is marked by several significant milestones, including equaling the World Record for Skeet Men with a score of 60 in 2019 and the Qualification World Record for Skeet Men with 125 points the same year. He has also been a part of successful teams, securing gold medals at the World Championships in 2013 and 2014 as part of the Skeet team, and multiple European Championship titles.
