About

Luke Islam first gained public recognition in 2019 during Season 14 of NBC’s “America’s Got Talent.” His performance of “She Used to Be Mine” from the Broadway musical *Waitress* led to judge Julianne Hough awarding him the Golden Buzzer, advancing him directly to the Quarterfinals and generating significant public interest. Following his participation in the semifinals of “America’s Got Talent,” Islam was invited to compete in Season 2 of the spin-off, “America’s Got Talent: The Champions,” which premiered in January 2020. These appearances marked his initial widespread exposure in the entertainment industry.

Following his success on “America’s Got Talent,” Luke Islam made his professional acting debut in the series regular role of Jaden ‘Koob’ Koobler in the sports comedy-drama television series, *The Mighty Ducks: Game Changers*. The series aired on Disney+ starting March 26, 2021, and was renewed for a second season, which premiered on September 28, 2022, spanning 20 episodes. Islam also took on a role in the coming-of-age musical film, *13: The Musical*, portraying the character Carlos. The film completed principal photography in Summer 2021 and premiered on Netflix in August 2022.

More recently, Islam performed his solo debut at New York City’s renowned 54 Below in November 2022, selling out his first show and being invited back for an encore performance the following month. In 2023, he featured in the mockumentary comedy film *Theater Camp* as Christopher L, which premiered at the Sundance Film Festival and was distributed Nationwide by Searchlight Pictures, grossing nearly $3,000,000 at the box office. Islam also dedicates time to charitable organizations, including UNICEF, the Entertainment Community Fund, and You Gotta Believe, demonstrating his commitment beyond his performance career. He holds membership with SAG-AFTRA.
