Lyndie Greenwood

Lyndie Greenwood was born and raised in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. Her early education included studies in dance, alongside training in various voice and musical theatre schools in Canada. Greenwood also developed skills in martial arts. She pursued formal higher education, earning a Bachelor of Science degree from the University of Toronto in 2006. Concurrently, she engaged in acting training at institutions such as ‘Professional Actors Lab,’ ‘Jason Fraser Studios,’ ‘Etobicoke School of the Arts,’ and ‘University Settlement Drama Group.’ Her initial foray into acting was in the low-budget Canadian film “Pinkville,” followed by her television debut in an episode of “The Listener.”

Greenwood accumulated several guest appearances on television series including “Rookie Blue,” “Flashpoint,” “Being Erica,” “Covert Affairs,” “Lost Girl,” and “Saving Hope.” She also took on minor roles in short films like “Little Phoenix and the Fists of Fury” and “The Exit,” the latter of which she identified as a personal favorite role. A significant turning point in her career occurred in 2011 when she secured a recurring role as Sonya in The CW’s series, “Nikita.” Her performance led to her retention for the third and fourth seasons of the show.

Building on her television success, Greenwood was cast in a recurring role on FOX’s “Sleepy Hollow” in August 2013, where she played Jenny Mills. By January 2014, her role was elevated to a series regular for the second season. Her subsequent work includes appearances in “The Expanse” (2019–2022) as Dr. Elvi Okoye for 12 episodes and “S.W.A.T.” (2018–2021) as Officer Erika Rogers for 7 episodes. She has been involved in recent television movies such as “Magic in Mistletoe” (2023) and “CrimeTime: Freefall” (2024), and is slated to appear in “Vermilion” (2025) as an actress and writer.
