Maia Mitchell is an Australian actress known for her roles in both Australian and American television, and for her musical contributions to Disney Channel productions. After securing the lead role of Brittany Flune in the acclaimed Australian children’s television series Mortified in 2006, Maia Mitchell quickly established herself as a formidable talent, gaining national and international recognition for her performance. The series went on to receive an Australian Film Institute (AFI) Award for Best Children’s Television Series. Mitchell continued her early career success with her casting as Natasha Hamilton in the Australian drama series Trapped, later reprising her role in the sequel series Castaway.
Her compelling portrayal led directly to a spin-off series, Good Trouble. Mitchell continued her role as Callie Adams Foster in Good Trouble, also serving as an executive producer on the Freeform series from its premiere in 2019 through to 2024, demonstrating her expanded involvement behind the camera.
