Marcus Buckingham is an author, business consultant and motivational speaker. He has written several books and is renowned for starting the Marcus Buckingham Company; creating management training program and tools.
Whilst Buckingham studied at Cambridge University, he was hired by a psychology professor who developed an innovative tool which allowed businesses to identify talented individuals; matching candidates to roles very accurately.
Soon after, Buckingham wrote First, Break All the Rules, a book describing what the “world’s greatest managers do differently.” Over 1 million copies were printed and it was listed as a New York Times best-seller. The book was also included in the 100 Best Business Books of All Time” book by Jack Covert and Todd Sattersten.
2006 was the hugely successful year that he founded The Marcus Buckingham Company; the company which enabled him to launch a series of products in conjunction with the publication of Go Put Your Strengths to Work, a book providing six powerful steps to achieve ‘outstanding performance.’
Buckingham has featured in Trombone Player Wanted, a six part series, sharing core strength concepts in a captivating and entertaining way. He has also appeared on many TV shows including Good Morning America, The Today Show, The Oprah Winfrey Show and Fox Business.
