Marcus Trufant

Marcus Trufant’s professional journey began when the Seattle Seahawks selected him as the 11th overall pick in the 2003 NFL Draft, capping an illustrious collegiate career. While at Washington State University, Trufant started all four years, earning Pac-10 All-Freshman selection in 1999, honorable mention All-Pac-10 in 2001, first-team All-Pac-10 in 2002, and second-team AP All-American in 2002. Demonstrating his defensive prowess, he did not allow a single touchdown against him during his final two years in college. Earlier, Trufant was recognized as the Washington AAAA Player of the Year, leading his high school football team to the State AAAA championship game.

After his decorated tenure with the Seahawks, Trufant briefly joined the Jacksonville Jaguars in 2013. He officially retired from the NFL on April 23, 2014, signing a one-day contract to ensure his retirement as a Seattle Seahawk, solidifying his legacy with the team. Post-NFL, Trufant successfully transitioned into entrepreneurship, particularly focusing on real estate with an emphasis on self-storage investments. Beyond his business ventures, Trufant is deeply involved in community engagement through the Trufant Family Foundation.
