Mariana Drazic is a 25-year-old Croatian tennis player and is the daughter of professional football player Darko Drazic, who played for the Croatian national team. There is more to what meets the eye with Mariana as she uses her platform to fight for causes that are close to her heart.
The athlete has been playing tennis since she was just eight years old in her hometown of Brela with her family who are all equally as passionate about sports and keeping fit. It only took 6 months for the player to start winning national tournaments and in 2011 was invited to play the junior Fed Cup. Mariana has over 30,000 followers on Instagram where she uses her following to fight for worthy causes. Most recently, in March 2020, she became an ambassador for the United Nations World Food Programme, where she has raised money for over 5,000 meals to be donated to those in need during the Coronavirus pandemic. In the next chapter of her life, Mariana aims to work with more humanitarian programmes such as UNICEF and charities that support families in their time of need.
Alongside her bountiful tennis career and her selfless charity duties, Mariana speaks fluent Croatian, English, German and some Spanish. She is currently sponsored by HEAD Tennis promoting products and sporting news on her social media.
