About

JP Karliak, born in Dunmore, Pennsylvania, is an American actor and comedian recognized for his extensive voice acting career and his activism. He is an alumnus of the USC School of Dramatic Arts, where he honed his skills. Karliak began his voice-acting journey in 2008 with the video game “Tom Clancy’s EndWar.” His career expanded to include on-screen roles in live-action television series such as “Ringer” and “Real Husbands of Hollywood.” Over the years, JP Karliak has become a significant voice in animated productions and video games.

Throughout his career, Karliak has voiced numerous iconic characters. He took on the role of Wolfgang in the highly successful “Skylanders” video game series, appearing in “Skylanders: Trap Team” (2014), “Skylanders: SuperChargers” (2015), and “Skylanders: Imaginators” (2016). From 2015 to 2020, he lent his voice to Wile E. Coyote in the “New Looney Tunes” television series. Karliak also voiced Willy Wonka in the 2017 direct-to-video animated film “Tom and Jerry: Willy Wonka and the Chocolate Factory.” A prominent role includes Boss Baby Theodore Lindsey “Ted” Templeton, Jr. in “The Boss Baby: Back in Business” (2018–2020) and its sequel series “The Boss Baby: Back in the Crib” (2022–2023). More recently, he is known for voicing Green Goblin in “Spidey and His Amazing Friends” (2021–present) and Morph in “X-Men ’97” (2024–present).

Beyond his acting work, JP Karliak is a dedicated activist. He is the founder and president of Queer Vox, a non-profit training academy and community focused on supporting LGBTQIA+ voice talent and advocating for equitable casting opportunities. He also co-founded NerdsVote with Courtenay Taylor, an organization that connects pop culture fans to voter registration. Karliak married Scott Barnhardt in 2022 and identifies as genderqueer, actively promoting LGBTQIA+ representation both on and off screen.
