Martellus Bennett

Martellus Bennett has transitioned from NFL athlete to children’s author and entrepreneur. After becoming the first athlete since 1969 to letter in both football and basketball at Texas A&M University, Martellus Bennett was drafted by the Dallas Cowboys in the second round, 61st overall, of the 2008 NFL Draft, launching a distinguished 10-season career in the National Football League (NFL) primarily as a tight end. During his collegiate career, Bennett set a school record for most receptions by a tight end with 105 catches and was recognized as Second-team All-Big 12 in 2006. With the Cowboys, he quickly developed into an excellent blocker and recorded his first career touchdown in his rookie season, spending four seasons with the team.
