Matt Stone is an Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor, animator, writer, and producer, widely recognized for co-creating the critically acclaimed animated series “South Park” and the Broadway musical “The Book of Mormon.” After their short film ‘The Spirit of Christmas’ became one of the internet’s first viral videos in 1995, Matt Stone, an Emmy and Tony Award-winning actor, animator, writer, and producer, went on to co-create the critically acclaimed animated series ‘South Park.’ Stone began his collaborative career co-founding the Avenging Conscience production company in 1992, where he directed ‘Jesus vs. Frosty’ (1992) and the feature-length musical ‘Cannibal! The Musical’ in 1993. ‘South Park’ premiered on Comedy Central in August 1997, quickly transforming the network and becoming a significant success.

Most recently, in 2021, Stone signed a monumental $900 million deal with Paramount Global, securing additional seasons of ‘South Park’ and multiple spin-off movies, underscoring his influential standing in the media landscape. In the same year, he purchased the iconic Casa Bonita restaurant. Stone received another Primetime Emmy Award for ‘South Park’ in 2023. Looking ahead, the video game ‘South Park: Snow Day!’ was released in 2024, and the 28th season of ‘South Park’ is set to premiere in 2025, continuing his prolific output.
