Matt Walsh

Matt Walsh is an accomplished actor, writer, and producer, widely recognized for his comedic performances and foundational contributions to improvisational theater. After co-founding the seminal Upright Citizens Brigade (UCB) sketch comedy troupe in 1991 alongside Matt Besser, Amy Poehler, and Ian Roberts, Matt Walsh established himself as a pivotal figure in improvisational theater. UCB quickly rose to prominence, becoming a significant force in the comedy scene by establishing theaters and schools in both New York and Los Angeles. Walsh went on to star in the original ‘Upright Citizens Brigade’ television series on Comedy Central, which aired from 1998 to 2000, and was instrumental in the show’s 2015 reboot, ‘The UCB Show.’ His work with UCB underscored his exceptional talent in both performance and theatrical management.

Most recently, Walsh appeared as Dr. Samuel Mudd in the 2024 historical drama ‘Manhunt,’ further diversifying his acting portfolio.
