Matthew Espinosa burst into the public eye through the hugely popular app Vine, a content creator who quickly grabbed fans attention with his hilarious seven second videos, and was so loved that his presence caused a minor riot at a shopping mall Virginia in 2013. Espinosa also attended VidCon in 2015, but despite his disguise, devoted fans quickly found him and he was mobbed by his audience. His loyal fan base is huge, with nearly five million followers on his Instagram, and over thirteen million followers across his social media accounts, an impressive figure.
His work on collaborative projects with fellow internet stars such as JC Caylen and Kian Lawley contributed to his fame, but it was his work with the social media group Magcon Boys, alongside Aaron Carpenter, Taylor Caniff, Jack Gilinsky, Shawn Mendes, Jacob Whitesides, and Jack Johnson that really catapulted him into the career of a social media influencer. He isn’t just limited to the small screen, he’s hit the silver screen too, with roles in the film Be Somebody, 48 Hours To Live, and American Vandal. He also had a role in the hit comedy TV show Ballers, alongside megastar Dwayne Johnson and John David Washington, and has appeared in several interviews about his experiences as a social media star, the most notable of which being on the Today Show. Most recently, he posts regularly to the app Tiktok, and updates his twitter feed with current events and upcoming projects.
