Mermaid Grace

Grace Page, born in Woking, developed a lifelong interest in mermaids stemming from the classic Disney film, “The Little Mermaid.” This early fascination prompted her to pursue a career as a professional mermaid. In 2014, she transitioned from hosting princess parties to engaging in mermaid activities, becoming an early participant in the UK’s nascent mermaid community. She subsequently established her agency, Hire A Mermaid, to provide professional mermaid services for various events.

Grace achieved a significant milestone in 2016 by winning the inaugural Miss Mermaid UK pageant. This victory led to her representing the United Kingdom in the international finals held in Egypt, where she showcased free-diving skills and advocated for marine conservation. Her commitment to the craft is evidenced by her open-water free-diving qualification, allowing her to swim underwater for up to four minutes. She operates a mermaid school, instructing individuals on breath-holding techniques and swimming with heavy tails.

Beyond her live appearances for children’s parties, corporate events, and underwater modeling for film, television, and advertising, Grace has established a significant presence on social media. As of her recorded metrics, she garnered an impressive 1.1 million followers on TikTok. Viral content, such as a video of her interacting with a stingray underwater and another depicting a finger-touching moment with a child through aquarium glass, contributed to her online recognition. Her entrepreneurial endeavors include expanding her mermaid business to a broader European audience.
