Mia Sinclair Jenness

Mia Sinclair Jenness began her professional life on stage as a child performer, and her rise came early. Born in 2005, she joined the ensemble and understudy cast of the 2014–15 Broadway production of Les Miserables while still a young girl, an apprenticeship that put her inside one of Broadway’s most demanding productions before most children finish elementary school. That foundation set the trajectory for a career spent alternating between theatre, television, and voice work.

Her breakthrough arrived when she was selected as one of three girls to rotate in the title role of the US national tour of Matilda the Musical, carrying a Broadway-scale lead performance night after night. She later portrayed the 12-year-old version of the title character in the off-Broadway play Mary Page Marlowe, a role requiring precision and restraint in a fragmented, decades-spanning narrative.

On screen and in voice acting, Jenness voiced Nancy Clancy on Disney Junior’s animated series Fancy Nancy in 2018, portrayed Lily Nill in the pilot episode of the TV series Panic, and voices young Powder in Netflix’s League of Legends-based series Arcane. Few performers her age can claim credits spanning Broadway, off-Broadway, network television, and a globally streamed animated hit.
