Michael Chaves is a filmmaker known for his work directing horror films within The Conjuring Universe, bringing established franchises to new audiences. After directing the award-winning short film ‘The Maiden’ in 2016, Michael Chaves went on to establish himself as a prominent filmmaker and visual effects artist known for his impactful contributions to the horror genre. His early career saw him direct over ten short films, music videos, and commercials, laying the groundwork for his distinctive style. Among his initial works were the short films ‘Worst Date Ever’ (2009), ‘Regen’ (2010), and ‘Make Note of Every Sound’ (2014), alongside the ‘HGTV – Selling LA: Promo Campaign’ (2011).
