Michael Fassbender

Michael Fassbender is a German-Irish actor known for his acclaimed performances across film and television, including his tenure as Magneto in the X-Men film series and his Oscar-nominated roles. After gaining significant recognition for his role as Bobby Sands in Steve McQueen’s 2008 historical drama ‘Hunger,’ Michael Fassbender earned a British Independent Film Award for his transformative performance. His professional career began with his first screen appearance in the 2001 HBO miniseries ‘Band of Brothers’ as Pat Christenson, followed by his portrayal of Azazeal in the Sky One fantasy drama ‘Hex’ from 2004 to 2005. Fassbender made his feature film debut in 2006 as Stelios in Zack Snyder’s ‘300,’ which achieved commercial success.

Fassbender’s career further ascended with his role as Edwin Epps in ’12 Years a Slave’ (2013), which earned him his first Academy Award nomination for Best Supporting Actor. In 2015, he starred as Steve Jobs in the critically acclaimed biopic of the same name, receiving Academy Award, BAFTA, Golden Globe, and SAG nominations for Best Actor. That same year, he played the titular role in ‘Macbeth.’ He also took on starring and producing duties for ‘Assassin’s Creed’ (2016) and reprised his role as David in ‘Alien: Covenant’ (2017). After an acting hiatus that commenced in 2019 to focus on auto racing, Fassbender returned to film in 2023 with lead roles in David Fincher’s ‘The Killer’ and Taika Waititi’s ‘Next Goal Wins.’ He also took on an executive producer role for the 2023 film ‘The Kitchen.’ In 2024, he began starring in the upcoming television series ‘The Agency.’ His forthcoming projects include ‘Kung Fury 2’ (completed), ‘Hope’ (post-production), and ‘Night Boat to Tangier’ (pre-production).
