Michael Matt is an Austrian alpine ski racer specializing in Slalom, an Olympic medalist, and a World Championship medalist. After securing his first World Cup podium on November 13, 2016, placing as a runner-up at Levi, Finland, Michael Matt rapidly established himself as a prominent figure in alpine skiing. He quickly followed this breakthrough with his inaugural World Cup victory on March 5, 2017, in Kranjska Gora, Slovenia, marking a significant milestone in his professional trajectory. Matt initiated his World Cup career with a debut in the Levi slalom in November 2013, embarking on what would become 11 competitive World Cup seasons.

Continuing this success, Matt earned two silver medals at the 2019 Åre World Championships, excelling individually in the Men’s Slalom and contributing to another podium finish in the Team Event.
