Michael Trucco

Born and raised in San Mateo, California, Edward Michael Trucco pursued a career in film and television after graduating from Santa Clara University with a BA in Theatre Arts. His early career included a recurring role on “Beverly Hills, 90210” and a starring role opposite James Brolin in the CBS Series “Pensacola: Wings of Gold” for two seasons. He has also had notable recurring roles on “Arli$$”, “Sabrina the Teenage Witch”, “One Tree Hill”, “Castle”, “How I Met Your Mother”, “Revenge”, and as Adam Strange in the animated series “Young Justice”.

Trucco is widely recognized for his portrayal of Samuel T. Anders in the science fiction series “Battlestar Galactica” (2004-2009) and for his role as Justin Patrick on the USA Network series “Fairly Legal” (2011-2012). His film credits include the thriller/horror films “Hush” (2016) and “The Bye Bye Man” (2017), as well as “Hunter Killer” (2018). He has recently appeared in “Fire Country” (2022-2025) as Luke Leone, “The Rookie” (2019-2025) as Sean Del Monte, “The Fall of the House of Usher” (2023) as Rufus Griswold, and “Average Joe” (2023) as Benjamin ‘Touch’ Tuchawuski. His upcoming projects include “The Electric State” (2025) and “The Life of Chuck” (2024).

Beyond acting, Trucco also directed an episode of “Pensacola: Wings of Gold” in 2000. He is the lead guitarist for the band Simpleworld. In 2024, Michael Trucco and producer PJ Haarsma launched Trick Films, a production company. He was also involved in a significant car accident in 2007, which resulted in severe injuries but a full recovery.
