American theoretical physicist and futurist, Michio Kaku has been named by New York Magazine as one of the “100 Smartest People in New York.” As a professor of theoretical physics at the City College of New York and the CUNY Graduate Center, he has previously stated that his goal in life is to complete Einstein’s dream of a “Theory of Everything.”
Kaku’s list of TV and film credits are endless, appearing on Good Morning America, The Screen Savers, Larry King Live, 60 Minutes, Imus In The Morning, Nightline, 20/20, Naked Science, Late Show with David Letterman and many more shows. In 1999, Kaku featured in the film Me & Isaac Newton, which was later broadcast on television and subsequently won several film awards. Kaku is the host of Exploration; a weekly radio program that addresses general topics of science, war, peace and environment. In 2006, he began hosting Science Fantastic, another radio show that covers fascinating topics; from parallel universes to black holes.
During his career, Kaku has written numerous New York bestselling books including The Future of the Mind, Physics of the Future and Physics of the Impossible. Based on the latter book, he began hosting a weekly TV series for the Science Channel which ran for 12 weeks. His engaging aura and infinite knowledge has seen him appear on many popular talk shows, discussing the theories behind time travel in major fictions shows like Lost and Back to the Future.
