Miltos Yerolemou

Miltos Yerolemou, born in London to Greek Cypriot parents, developed his acting career through extensive stage experience rather than formal lessons. From 1997 to 2003, he was a regular on the television series *Hububb*. His early career also included a supporting role in *Middleton’s Changeling* in 1998 and a part in a film adaptation of Shakespeare’s *The Winter’s Tale* in 1999. He appeared in the British series *My Family* and the short film *The Public Benefits*, building a foundation in both television and film.

Yerolemou gained widespread recognition for his role as Syrio Forel in the first season of the HBO fantasy series *Game of Thrones*. In this role, he worked primarily with actress Maisie Williams as Arya Stark, portraying Syrio Forel, also known as “The First Sword of Braavos.” His scenes in *Game of Thrones* involved significant sword work, drawing on his decade of experience with the Royal Shakespeare Company, where he frequently performed in productions featuring sword fighting. Following *Game of Thrones*, Yerolemou was cast in *Star Wars: The Force Awakens* (2015) as a Bar Patron and in the film *The Danish Girl* (2015) as Dr. Mai. He also featured in a BBC adaptation of Hilary Mantel’s *Wolf Hall* (2015).

His career continued with roles in the BBC One series *New Blood* (2016) and the British-American film *Tulip Fever* (2017). More recently, he played The Fool in a co-production of *King Lear* by the Talawa Theatre Company and Royal Exchange Manchester, a performance which received positive critical reception for its depth and comedic timing. Other notable film and television appearances include *Murder on the Orient Express* (2017) as Old Turk Baker, *The Crown* (2019) as Chronos, *Hitman’s Wife’s Bodyguard* (2021) as Carlo, *Slow Horses* (2022) as Theo Makris, and the upcoming *Foundation* (2025) as Presider Kinn.
